CAREERS

What we do

LAET’s careers programme aims to support, challenge and empower students to make confident and informed decisions about their next steps. As part of the programme, we aim to work in partnership with our feeder and local primary schools through our Chrysalis East initiative, supporting their students and providing access to opportunities.

Natixis Scholars and LAET Alumni Britney and Liban spoke to Year 13s about how the Natixis Scholarship has expedited their professional and academic growth.

Key aims of the LAET careers offer

  • Provide outstanding information, advice and guidance around careers.
  • Ensure students have opportunities to explore various options, make informed choices and be able to prepare high-quality applications.
  • Build student confidence and resilience to succeed in the workplace.
  • Support students in creating lifelong professional networks and contacts.
  • Present students with an opportunity to undertake a workplace experience via work visit, work shadowing, and/or work experience.

The careers programme at LAE Tottenham is focused on career learning during Year 12. It combines workplace visits, career talks, work shadowing, independent research and specific projects designed to help our students make informed choices about their post-18 options. This also supports them in having access to excellent career guidance whilst simultaneously allowing them to learn and experience first-hand the skills valued in the workplace.

Work with us - Employers

Are you an employer looking to work with a school? Then we are looking for you!

We are keen to work with employers who can share their experience, skills and expertise. Our careers programme requires volunteers to act as session facilitators and to lead interviews, and we also welcome speakers and work experience opportunities for our Year 12 students.
