BLACKOUT - Drama Performance

Last Thursday, our talented Year 12 and 13 students delivered a powerful performance of Davey Anderson’s BLACKOUT, LAET’s First Licensed Public Production.

Inspired by the true stories of a 15-year-old young offender from Glasgow, this hard-hitting play, originally part of the National Theatre’s New Connections programme, explores bullying, violence, loss, and redemption.

Since November, our students have worked tirelessly, collaborating across all aspects of the production.

From acting to directing, lighting and sound design, music, videography, choreography, and poster design. Their passion and dedication truly shone through on the night.

A huge congratulations to everyone involved! A special mention goes to Niki Nahavandi for her striking poster design and to Ms Garwood for leading this opportunity for our students. We would like to extend our gratitude to Mr Valek and Mr Hatch for their assistance with the technical aspects of the production.
